Community Hub

The Holroyd School Community Hub is located on the Holroyd School site and is a meeting place for families, community members and staff to build relationships and work together to improve learning outcomes for students with moderate to severe disabilities.

It is also a venue for free school and community-led information sessions for local families on topics such as student learning, wellbeing and access to services.

The Community Hub is open every Thursday during school terms and offers the following free activities/services:

  • PLAYGROUP (9.30am-11.30am), singing, story time and craft.
  • GOVERNMENT SERVICES ADVICE (from 9.30am), Melanie from the Community Migrant Resource Centre can provide advice or information on a range of government services.

Free NDIS INFORMATION SESSIONS are also held in The Hub on the first Thursday of every month from 9.30am during school terms. NDIS Local Area Co-ordinators are available to answer questions and provide face-to-face support.

Free art classes are also held in the Community Hub from 9.30am to 11.30am on the first Tuesday of the month. Beginners welcome.

The Community Hub was established by Holroyd School in conjunction with the Holroyd School P&C and Community Migrant Resource Centre. It was officially opened by Holroyd Council Mayor, Clr Greg Cummings on Thursday October 18, 2018.
