Term 3 Week 1, 2021 - students to learn from home
RETURN TO SCHOOL - COVID UPDATE
Dear parents and carers,
As you may be aware Term 3 will start with students learning from home. Like all public schools in Greater Sydney, Holroyd School will remain open for students and families who need it, although parents and carers are encouraged to keep their children at home. There will only be minimum supervision provided at school.
Monday (12 July 2021), as previously advised, is a School Development Day (pupil-free day) and staff will be participating in professional learning. Due to NSW Health stay-at-home orders, teaching staff will also facilitate learning from home planning and preparation.
Tuesday (13 July 2021) – Friday (16 July 2021), in line with the latest advice from NSW Health and the Department of Education, students will be learning from home.
Myself and the leadership team have been meeting to develop a plan for the delivery of learning from home for our students in line with the latest advice from NSW Health and Department of Education.
Please be mindful that the call from your child’s teacher will likely come from a private number. If you miss the call and/or need to contact staff for any reason, you can do so via the school office on 02 9637 1219.
This term will bring challenges but the Holroyd School community has faced similar challenges before and I am confident we can work together as a community to do so again.
Please continue to monitor your emails and the Holroyd School Facebook page for updated advice and information.
Kind regards,
Mrs K Thorson
Principal (rel)
Holroyd School
